ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Year is once again upon us and the Duke City will have plenty of offerings to ring in 2014. Here are a few of the events:

Albuquerque

SANDIA RESORT & CASINO: Club Elevate will feature DJ Kique from Las Vegas, Nev., as he spins in the ballroom. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. Meanwhile, at the Tlur Pa Lounge, DJ Cut will spin beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, and then Groove City takes over at 9:30 p.m. to usher in the new year. There is a $20 cover beginning at 8 p.m.

Also, in the Bien Shur Lounge, the Kari Simmons Group will perform at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 and there is no cover charge.

ROUTE 66 CASINO HOTEL: Will usher in the new year with its “Fame” celebration. The event will feature celebrity appearances by some of the top impersonators in the business. Walk the red carpet and bump elbows with your favorite stars – such as Rod Stewart, Cher, Tom Jones and Kid Rock. There will also be the magic of Las Vegas, Nev., magician Seth Grabel, who will perform around the gaming floor.

In Legends Theater, “Moonwalker: Tribute to Michael Jackson” will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. Tickets are $10 general admission. At Envy Nightlife, DJ Chil and DJ Kiss will helm the music beginning at 8 p.m. There is a $20 cover and includes a confetti blast and balloon drop at midnight.

The Grand Ballroom will have a dance party with music from Fat City at 10 p.m. Admission to this is free and there is a cash bar.

ISLETA RESORT & CASINO: Will host a “NYE 2014” at the Center Bar with signature cocktails. Champagne toasts start at $2.
